A Kentucky transplant, Chrissy Rippetoe began her business after creating her own groomsmen gifts for her wedding. After creating the gifts using old bourbon barrels, she fell in love with the process of working with that sweetly bourbon-scented wood. The goal of Smoke & Spirits is to bring you high quality, handcrafted items, each with a bit of rustic charm. Chrissy finds joy in transforming sustainable, reclaimed materials into heirloom quality pieces.
Originally starting the company with her husband, Chrissy is now the main driving force for Smoke & Spirits as her husband is now focusing more on his full-time job. Being the face and brains behind the brand comes with dedication and passion. Brawn, brains and beauty is the trifecta Chrissy possesses. She’s savy, talented, not afraid to get her hands dirty or move mountains (or heavy barrels!). The inspiration behind Smoke & Spirits is shown throughout the products produced.
