Erica Pierce was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. This is where she continued her education at the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated with a BFA in Illustration. After graduation she started her own business aimed at bringing her illustrations to the world of surface design and products. Through her work Erica strives to depict the feminine, antique and natural details in life that continuously inspire her. Using Illustration as a platform for her work, she creates not only illustrations in a traditional manner but also transforms products as a place to further her designs. Erica creates work for art licensing, illustration and her own line of illustrated products.
three things i can't live without
A hairband, a large glass of sweet tea, and flowers.
you'd never guess that
I had two surgeries on my foot as a kid! Between the two surgeries and nine casts I had in the period of four years I spent a lot of time inside. All the time off I had to spend recovering is what helped me find my love for art. Since then my foot has healed and my love of creating has taken my life over!
i'm thankful for
I’m thankful that I have such a supportive group of family and friends! They are the ones that constantly help to inspire and push me in my journey as an entrepreneur, maker, and artist. Every day I get to wake up and live my dream because of them.
my next venture is
My next and largest collection ever will bed completed soon! It is all about the beautiful flowers found around the United States. My State Flower Collection will be completed soon showcasing a wide range of flowers found around our country. Each state has its own repeat pattern and matching state shape. The collection will bed available soon on a wide range of products and I can not wait to share it with everyone.
i started my business because
Shortly after I completed my BFA in Illustration at SCAD. I knew that I love creating illustrations for products and it made my life feel so complete to see my work on something that could be used and loved every day. After seeing that there was a void between handmade goods and hand designed work I knew that I found my niche. I now strive to create hand made and hand designed goods that can make everyone's daily life a little more special.
my personal motto is
To find the little things in life that make it beautiful.
What makes savannah for you?
Savannah means home to me. I was born and raised here so to me the people, memories, and love that surrounds this city is what makes it so special.
