Colas Modern
Founders David and Lara Colas met in Savannah while sharing their passion for art and design.
Colas Modern is a family-owned design studio and workshop dedicated to product design, laser cutting, and manufacturing products in-house. Colas Modern is guided by the need to produce quality goods, including furniture and home goods. Inspired by family history and dedication to fine craftsmanship, the studio serves as a creative workspace and production facility in Savannah, where they design and handcraft their products using woodworking and metalworking techniques combined with laser technology.
“We carefully source our materials locally using a variety of wood species and metals available in our area. All of our custom finishes are made in-house by David and applied by hand to create a unique look specific to our finished products.”

We started our business over a glass of French wine four years ago and today we have a collection of products inspired by our French heritage.

We always have something new in the works, whether it is another product idea or a new prototype getting ready for production. We plan to continue adding products to our Modern Heritage Collection and handcrafting each piece in Savannah.
